ZigBee certified VS ZigBee compliance
David Gascón - November 12, 2008

certified

ZigBee Compliant are the transceivers which are designed to be integrated in a end device. This modules have the ZigBee stack and communicate among them using any of the implementations of the standard (2004v, 2006v, 2007v). One example is the XBee ZB module.

ZigBee Certified is the end device itself, normally uses a commercial ZigBee compliance module. Sensor devices wich integrates a Compliant ZigBee module such as Waspmote (which uses the below XBee ZB module) is a final device ready to be boxed (in a proper mote case) and passed the ZigBee certified tests.
